3x3 Issue 28 On Press

We’re happy to report that the next issue of 3x3 Magazine is at the printer and will soon be in the mail. This issue features Keith Negley, Johanna Goodman and Ivan Canu along with our issue’s ICON, Serge Bloch along with our legend the late Roland Topor, as well as our expanded Seen & Noted section featuring eighteen illustrators.

Other features include how to reach out to art directors, a salute to the late Jerry Pinkney and celebrating a series of murals by Melinda Beck and a solo show by Stephanie Wunderlich. And a round up of the latest book releases in art and design.

3x3 Annual 19 Jury Announced

We’re pleased to announce this year’s judges for the 3x3 International Illustration Awards Show 19. 

As always we weight our judges on the art direction end so we’re pleased to have Corinne Myller, Art Director-Special Sections, The New York Times; Christine Foltzer, Art Director, tor.com; Birthe Steinbeck, Art Director, Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin, Germany; Noël Claro, Product Creative Studio Strategist, Netflix and Fernando Verderi, Creative Director, Vogue Italia, Italy. 

In addition our international line up of distinguished illustrators include Sergiy Maidukov, Ukraine; Andrea Ucini, Denmark; Marta Madureira, Portugal; Armando Veve and Feifei Ruan, the United States. We’ll begin promoting each of our judges in the coming weeks so you can get to know them better. 

All judging is done independently over a two week period. A majority of the judge’s votes are needed to make it into our show. Our show is open to all illustrators, art directors, publishers, educators, students in all countries for commissioned, no-commissioned and personal work produced or published prior to our show deadline.
